I began my work in photography almost 30 years ago, during the age of film. I had the pleasure of working with 35mm, medium format, and large format cameras, and enjoyed the mysteries of working in the dark room.  Since the advent of digital photography, I have turned my focus from landscape to portraiture and candid photography, especially of families.  My greatest joy is capturing the quintessential moments that bond families...their joy or sadness that those outside of the family rarely catch a glimpse of.

  In addition to my work behind the camera, I have also spent almost 20 years in emergency response, most recently as a disaster medicine instructor who provided training around the world.
